ROLL IN PEACE LEWIS MARNELL

Heard some really bad news over the weekend, even had to hit up some mates in Melbourne to find out what happened. Rest in Peace Lewis Marnell, even though i’ve only met him once but he’s tight with a lot of my mates and i do know for a fact that he is a very down to earth person. He’s just one those Melburn dudes that u see around all the time, that is constantly killin it and it’s just really sad to see friends that are close to him grieving the loss. He is definitely a huge inspiration to me, from just being that rad dude to his skateboarding even his crazy Nike SB collection and that rad rasta sound system bike he rode around to parties this summer.

Nike SB Challenge Court

Nike SB Challenge Court, kind of a signature shoe by Gino Iannucci, rider for Chocolate Skateboards and also Nike SB. Thanks to Gino, he brought back the Challenge Court which was a really famous tennis shoe worn by John McEnroe, a former tennis world champion. They shot a short commercial for the release and here’s the behind the scenes. It’s actually pretty rad.

Nike Skateboarding dropped a promo video for their upcoming Nike SB Challenge Courts, which adapts their 1984 tennis original into kicks appropriate for skateboarding. It also comes in an all black colour way, the video features team rider Gino Iannucci, as well as a short spot with John McEnroe.

So they announced the release of the new Nike SB Koston Tiffany’s yesterday, which i think is totally awesome but it just reminded me of the teaser pic that Eric Koston posted on Instragram 2 months back, The Koston SB x Airmax 90. Being a huge fan of the classic Infrared AM90’s, i gotta have these! Available in a couple of months.
