The Great Depression, in the 1930s was the beginning of a decade of unemployment, poverty, low profits, deflation and lost opportunities. Which forced a huge number of men to hit the road, they were also known as ‘the knight of the road’. With no income whatsoever, spent an amount of time on the road carving coins that end up looking like these. How fucking rad?! What is considered folk art now, the ‘traveling men’ would sell these on their travels or have them traded for a meal and even shelter for the night.

These waffle soled bad boys sold out as soon as they were on the shelves in Vans stores, they released it again on the Vans online store a week ago and they’re already sold out! Good thing i do not own an iPhone.
