Kid Zoom

Born and bred in Australia, New York based artist Kid Zoom, was recently involved in a huge Graffiti Battle Exhibition in Sydney. Quite a number of Melbourne’s finest were invited for it as well, including my homeboy Drew Funk and my previous housemate ItchOne. As everyone expected, Kid Zoom absolutely fucking killed it again. Prior to the exhibition, he spent 2 months building a full scale replica of his childhood home in an abandon warehouse and painted a massive skull on it, entitled Home.

Hands down, Kid Zoom one of Australia’s best graffiti artist. Ian was in Melbourne a lot over the last couple of years and i remember seeing him around the city quite a bit. Once he was crashing with my homeboy Drew Funk, another awesome Melbourne based graffiti artist. That was the first time i met Kid Zoom as i was also crashing at the same apartment at that time. Not only is he an amazing artist, he’s got the mad styles, paints the biggest and the dopest skulls ever, Ian is also a really nice guy.

Also do check this awesome video of his exhibitions in New York and LA last year, HUGE!

Skull Suprise

Haha Johnny Cupcakes is so awesome! Known for his uniqueness and creativity, one day he decided to put a fake skull in one of his customers order underneath the cap that they had purchased from the online store, just for fun and giggles. According to him the process was timely and costly, however providing his customer with an unforgettable experience is priceless.

The idea of putting a bunch of Australia’s finest street artist on an island with buildings and abandon warehouses is fucking brilliant. Who thought the government would ever approve that but they totally did.. SICK! The Outpost Project at Cockatoo Island.. HUGE! the artist line up was pretty gnarly too, also heard that the launch party was insane and it was just a couple of months ago in Sydney, Australia.
